Where did December go?

Whew! What a whirlwind is the month of December. Funny ... from my childhood I just remember it being such fun fun fun ... now I know it's work work work with a little fun and memories sprinkled in. Here are some highlights:

Consulting with Santa at the John Muir Health children's party

Decorating gingerbread houses at Grandma's Joan's party Ethan with Aunt Heather and cousin Eli

Enjoying deliveries of goodies from friends
These are handmade by Kim Jenevein - WOW!

An annual tradition - Christmas Mom's night at Kristin's
Counting 8 years of friendship and many happy gatherings.

Christmas Eve at Granny and Papa's
Our first attempt at re-enacting the nativity

The Angels
Eliza and her cousin Cathy Smith

A Christmas Eve Tradition New Pajamas!

Christmas Morning
Grandma Joan came to further the joy of the day

Uncle Jim (Jeff's brother) and Aunt Crystal and cousins Cathy and Nicole came for Christmas dinner. Unfortunately we didn't take pictures. We had an amazing meal (I must admit) of honeybaked ham, Colleen's scalloped potatoes, salad, carrots, homemade rolls and homemade applesauce. Jeff gave the meal a 20 (on a scale of 1-10). I've never achieved that score....

And Christmas kept on going
We gathered with the Sorensen families at Uncle Alan's (Jennie's brother) and Aunt Heather's for lunch, gift exchange and outdoor play. Here's Ethan chasing down his cousin Sophie

What a lovely holiday you had! Yes, so much work for the momma....but look at all those smiles! Give yourself a big pat on the back! Santa would be proud of you!
