PACE Place
With the help of three amazing therapists, we learned much about how to facilitate the social/emotional development of our children and ourselves. The first day we were quite shell-shocked but throughout the week we evolved as a family unit. Hooray!!!!
We drove to Redding on Friday night and enjoyed jumping the energy out before getting some sleep:
We arrived at the "little green house" in Portland on Saturday afternoon:
Here's Steve coaching dad at the bowling alley:
Here's Kathi taking "baby steps" with Ben - he's eating a snack while wearing a long sleeved shirt. See, it's not such a scary thing to do after all, Mr. Ben.
Mid-week Eliza took a VERY SCARY fall down these stairs and spent the afternoon at the ER watching for signs of internal head injuries. Thankfully she was back to her normal feisty self within a couple of hours.
On the last day Eric guided us around the ropes course in the backyard. Eliza enjoyed the swing:
Ben loved the bridge:
Mom and Dad enjoyed climbing the big tree and riding down the zip line:
Ethan climbed the tree too and stopped when he'd pushed past his comfort zone (about half way up):
And here's us before we left. One happy family enjoying the loft full of bean bags. Wish we could build a room like that at our house.... loved it!
